Synopsis:
At 4:00 pm today, the center of Tropical Storm "DINDO" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 430 km east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora (15.9°N, 126.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Forecast:
Northern Luzon and the province of Aurora will experience occasional rains with gusty winds becoming stormy over Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands, Isabela, Batanes Grp. of Islands, Apayao, Kalinga and Mt. Province with rough to very rough seas. Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience occasional rains becoming frequent over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms while Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over the rest of the country and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
